Community Projects: Youth Collaboration Mural With Paintillio

Paintillio is an innovative local arts organization that is getting people from all over to collaborate on high fidelity murals. They are coordinating four local youth engaged community groups including the Mount Pleasant Community CentreBig BrothersTake a Hike Foundation and Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House in order to create a 25 foot wide mural in the heart of Mount Pleasant at the Kingsgate mall at Broadway and Kingsway. The mural will be completed just in time for the VMF Street Party on Saturday August 10th where members of the public can help finish the mural using a method similar to 'paint-by-numbers.'

VMF and Paintillo have been collaborating on projects throughout the past year and are super excited to see what the kids come up with for the big show this year!

We thank YVR for supporting our Community Projects program.

Day 2! Paint By Numbers! We love the look of the highly realistic buildings rendered with the same love and attention as the self-portraits made by Mount Pleasant kids in partnership with the MP Neighbourhood House.
